The website was made by a neural network - how to publish it

ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek or Cursor issued a code, it opens with a double click, but there is nowhere to send the link. Let's figure out what to do next: how to prepare files, publish them in a minute without a terminal, and not post your access keys at the same time.

What you have

The scenario is familiar: you asked ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek or Cursor to make a website, received a code, it even opens with a double click - but only lives on your computer. The link cannot be sent. Then the neural network usually advises “upload files to the hosting,” and that’s where the explanation ends.

Let's sort it out in order. First, determine what exactly you were given.

Option A. One HTML file

Code starts with <!doctype html>, and styles and scripts are embedded inside tags <style> and <script>. This is the most convenient case: the page is self-contained and ready to be published as is.

Option B. Multiple files

The neural network issued separately index.html, style.css and script.js. It’s also not difficult: all files should be in the same folder, and in HTML they should refer to each other using short relative paths.

Option B. Project in React, Next.js or Vue

Feature - mention npm install, file package.json, folder src. Such a project cannot simply be opened in a browser: it needs to be build. The good news is that you don’t have to build it yourself; the deployment platform will do it for you; more about this below.

How to prepare files

Three rules that solve almost all the problems of beginners.

  1. Main file - index.html. Exactly, in lowercase letters, without spaces and Cyrillic. If the neural network named the file site.html or Page.html - rename.
  2. All files are in one folder, index.html at its root. Not inside a subfolder: you need to load the content, not the wrapper.
  3. Save in UTF-8 encoding. If you open Notepad, paste the code and save it in the default encoding, the Russian text may turn into “krakozyabry”. In Windows Notepad, the encoding is selected in the save window, in VS Code - in the lower right corner.

Check the result before publication: open index.html double click. The way the page looks locally is the same way it will appear on the Internet.

Three ways to publish

Select the one that is closest - the result is the same: a working HTTPS link.

Drag folder

If you don’t use a terminal, this is your option. Login to app.layero.ru by mail or via Yandex and drag the folder with the site into the panel. The platform will unpack it, build the project if necessary, and publish it. No git, no command line.

One command in the terminal

If Node.js is already installed, open the project folder in a terminal and run npx layero@latest deploy. There is no need to install anything, the framework will be detected automatically, and the link will appear at the end of the output.

Straight from the AI editor

Cursor, Claude Code and Codex can work with Layero via MCP. Connect the MCP server once - and the deployment is launched with a phrase in the chat like “deploy project in production”, without switching to the terminal.

Connecting to AI editors is described in documentation for agents.

Upload a website from a neural network in a minute

Free plan, HTTPS immediately, servers in Russia. Drag and drop the folder and the platform will do the rest.

Check if there are any keys in the code

This is the only point from the article that is worth reading. Neural networks often insert into code examples blanks for access keys, and sometimes real keys that you yourself dictated to them in correspondence.

Everything that is included in the HTML or JavaScript on the page is visible to any visitor. Just click “View page code” in the browser. This does not hide any “minification” or “compression”.

Before publishing, look for the following lines in the code:

  • apiKey, api_key, secret, token, password;
  • long character sets starting with sk-, pk_, AKIA;
  • database connection strings - these contain :// and a login:password pair.

If this is found, you need a key remove from the code and revoke in the account dashboard of the service that issued it. Consider any key that has ever been published to be compromised. Calls to paid APIs must come from the server, not from the page; Layero has it for this environment variables - they are stored in encrypted form and are not included in the page code.

Typical problems with neural network code

What breaks most often and how it is repaired.

The site opened without styles

Usually only the HTML is saved and the CSS is left in the chat. Ask the neural network to embed styles directly into the file: “gather everything into one self-contained HTML file.”

Pictures are not displayed

The neural network substitutes non-existent paths like images/hero.jpg. Either put the file in this path, or replace the link with a real one.

External libraries are connected

Links to CDN libraries work, but make the site dependent on someone else's server. For reliability, it is better to download the file and put it nearby.

The phone breaks down

Check if there is <head> line with viewport. Without it, the mobile browser will show a smaller desktop version.

Instead of the Russian text “krakozyabry”

The file was not saved in UTF-8 or <head> no <meta charset="UTF-8">. You can fix this in ten seconds.

Buttons and links lead nowhere

In the generated layouts, links are often stubs - href="#". Replace with real addresses before showing to the client.

How to update the site further

Edits from the neural network come in batches, so publication is not a one-time action. The update is done in the same way as the first publication: drag the folder again or run npx layero@latest deploy. The site address does not change, visitors immediately see the new version.

Each publication is saved in the deployment history. If the next edit breaks the page, the previous version is returned with one button - this is more convenient than asking the neural network to “return it as it was,” because it does not remember the exact previous version.

When the project outgrows the folder with files, it makes sense to create a repository on GitHub and link it to the project: then the site will update itself every time changes are saved, and a separate preview link will appear for each branch.

Frequently asked questions

How to put a website made by ChatGPT on the Internet?
Save the resulting code to the index.html file, put it in a separate folder and drag it into the app.layero.ru panel. In 30–60 seconds you will receive a working HTTPS link. Terminal, git and hosting are not needed for this.
The neural network produced the code in one piece - what to do with it?
If the code contains <!doctype html> and <html> tags, it is a finished page: save it as index.html in UTF-8 encoding and publish it. If this is a React fragment or a separate function, ask the neural network to build a full-fledged page from it and explicitly say that one self-contained HTML file is needed.
Is it possible to publish a website directly from Cursor or Claude Code?
Yes. Layero connects to AI editors as an MCP server, after which the deployment is launched directly from the chat - for example, with the phrase “deploy the project in production.” The assistant will call the required command and return a link to the published site.
What to do if a website from a neural network opens without styles?
Most often the reason is that the CSS was in a separate file, and you only saved the HTML. Or the styles are connected via a link to an external library that is not available. Ask the neural network to embed styles directly into the HTML file - then the page will become self-sufficient.
Is it safe to publish the code that the neural network wrote?
The code itself is no more dangerous than any other, but be sure to check one thing: whether it contains keys and passwords. Neural networks regularly insert strings like apiKey: “sk-…” into examples. Everything that is included in HTML or JavaScript is visible to any visitor by viewing the source code of the page.
How to update the site after the neural network has made changes?
Re-publish: drag and drop the updated folder again or run npx layero@latest deploy. A new version of the site will appear, and the previous ones will remain in the deployment history - you can return to them with one button if the edit was unsuccessful.
